The Original Nude Binder

When we brought you the idea for our inclusive skin colored binder, there was literally nothing like it on the market -- we saw a need within the community and decided to fix it. We have had our Bareskin Binder on the market since late 2016, and have made slight tweaks to the silhouette twice since then in response to customer feedback.

We know that picking out any piece of clothing can be a daunting task when it comes to sizing, but we especially know how difficult it is to find the right binder so we want to try and make this process as easy for you as possible! At our first promotional photoshoot for our Bareskin Binder, we enlisted the help of as many community volunteer models as possible so that we could have a wide array of body types for you to look at and use for your reference when picking your Bareskin Binder.

We want to lead by saying that our binder has more give compared to other binders on the market (because our back panel is 4-way stretch), but referencing your usual binder/bra size is a good starting point. Our binder is less restrictive across the shoulders and neck than our competitors, which should allow for less strain on your posture and less stress on your breathing -- this led some of our models to think that the binder wasn't working correctly at first, but then they realized that they were actually comfortable but not used to that feeling while binding.

If you need any further help beyond what we've provided on this page, please don't hesitate to contact us using the Subject Line: "Bareskin Sizing" so we can communicate what we think your best fit would be!

Our size chart which currently goes from size XXS-4XL.

*please note that our size chart has been amended to reflect feedback from wearers, and we are constantly making adjustments to create the best product for our customers.

Keep in mind, not everyone is going to fall perfectly into one size column and there is some overlap in sizing (and sometimes your chest measurement will fall into a different size column than your shoulder measurement). Your chest measurement is the most indicative measurement for sizing. Every body is different so as always if you have any questions about fit, sizing, or binding in general please don’t hesitate to reach out!

You should measure at the widest point of your unbound chest (for most people this is across the nipples), and you can pull the tape quite tight as the binder will press your chest tissue down. For censorship purposes Chris measured with a binder on.

Then measure under your chest tissue for your rib cage measurement -- the average of these 2 chest measurements is a fairly accurate representation of what your bound chest measurement can be expected to be.

Measure the widest part of your shoulders. Shoulder measurement will be a factor in how easy it is for you to get the binder on and off.

Please remember that binders are meant to be snug as they are a compression garment, if you've never worn a binder before it may take some getting used to -- however it should not be painful. If your binder is causing you pain take it off immediately, and consider sizing up. Additionally, if it does not seem like the binder is compressing/flattening effectively once it's on, you may be wearing the wrong/too big of a size. Please reference our “How Should My Binder Fit” Page for more details on binder fit!

If You're...

In Between Sizes?

At our photoshoot we had some very amazing and generous volunteers take topless photos to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Bareskin Binder and to help anyone who might be between sizes/not think the binder will work for them and their body type. Photos have been cropped and censored for privacy but have not been edited aside from lighting and splicing separate images together. Please be respectful of these individuals and their bodies, thank you. Pronouns have been included in case you need to reference any of these models or images in an inquiry email.

In no instance should any person/publication repost or use these images without written consent from the models or FLAVNT Streetwear. These models have generously consented to the use of their bodies for this purpose only. All images are intellectual property of FLAVNT Streetwear.

In Between Colors?

Right now we have 5 nude colors available in our color range for the Bareskin Binder, from Rose to Umber. We also have included black and white into our range as of 2020. We hope to expand those in the near future to eventually have the most inclusive range of colors possible. These 5 colors have proven to be a great base palette, but we know how hard it is to pick the perfect tone. Keep in mind that if you tan easily, your skin tone may change throughout the summer and if you plan on getting your binder wet, it will appear darker when wet. That being said, here is a range of models from lightest to darkest to show you the variety of people who wore the different tones (this photo does not show any Oak binders):
